What to Refresh in 2025
Spring is in the air, the flowers are blooming and here in Oregon, we’re all cautiously optimistic the sun might stay for a while. As you dust off the patio furniture and regroup for spring, don’t forget—your business could probably use some spring cleaning, too. Here are top 3 Salem marketing goals that should be on your spring cleaning checklist.
Just like your garage, your business’s online presence can get cluttered, outdated, or just plain strange over time. Consider - when did you last update your website? Be honest. And do you know where your domain is stored? Is it secured?
Whether you’re a mom-and-pop in Salem or a growing brand in Bend, here’s what to refresh in 2025 to keep your business sharp, snappy, and ready for the coming season.
1. Website Woes: Fix What’s Broken (or Embarrassing)
Think of your website like your digital front porch—it’s the first thing people see. And if the welcome mat is moldy and the porch light flickers? People notice.

✅ Do a mobile check. Is your site easy to navigate on a phone, or does it feel like solving a puzzle with your thumbs? A good hint is if you can’t easily navigate your mobile website - neither can anyone else.
✅ Audit your content. Do your services, pricing, and contact info reflect where your business is today? If your homepage still references 2023 hours… We can help you get that updated along with a few other things.
✅ Speed matters. A slow site loses visitors fast. If your homepage loads like a dial-up relic, it’s time to optimize those images or talk to your web person (hi, that could be us!). Not sure how yours is performing? PageSpeed Insights has a great free tool for an initial assessment.
2. Branding Tune-Up: Still Feelin’ the Vibe?
Your logo and brand colors might’ve felt “bold and modern” five years ago—but does it still align with your current identity and serve your Salem marketing needs?

✅ Check for consistency. Does your logo match across your website, social media, email signature, and print materials? If not, it's like wearing mismatched socks to a business meeting and could prove confusing to your customers.
✅ Tone & voice. Read through some of your copy. Does it sound like you? Or like a robot who went to business school? People connect with authenticity—don’t be afraid to show some personality.
✅ Refresh visuals. A new set of on-brand images (especially ones that scream “Spring in Oregon!” - for some businesses anyway) can breathe fresh life into your content. This is a great opportunity to move away from stock images.
3. Social Media: Stop Ghosting Your Audience
Look, we get it. Social media can feel like yelling into the void sometimes—but it’s still a crucial way to stay visible and relevant - especially if you don’t intend to update your website. This is a great opportunity to show you are actively engaged in your work and with your customers, typically with minimal cost.

✅ Update bios & links. Make sure your Instagram bio doesn’t say “New Year, New You” in April. If you intend to post only semi-regularly, aim for more evergreen content that will be useful to your audience.
✅ Audit past posts. Remove anything outdated, off-brand, or cringey (we all have them). Then make a plan to post more consistently—even once a week is a great start.
✅ Engage! Reply to comments, like your followers’ posts, and show up like a human—not a sales robot. Personality and authenticity can sometimes sell itself to right audience.
